Simply put, cinematography is creating an illusion of movement by projecting in rapid fashion a number of still pictures. Cinematography is a product of nineteenth century ingenuity and experimentation. Also known as motion pictures, movies or moving pictures, cinematography was one of the numerous wonderful inventions and discoveries of man. Discoveries in the field of photography primarily stemmed from the desire of man in projecting images, recording them on different materials and seeing animals and humans in motion. These discoveries, experiments and inventions came together to form the art, we now called as movies, videos or cinema.
