   Introduction - BA (Linguistics)
  This programme focuses on the study of language and ways of understanding and describing the structure, evolution, history and sociology of languages. The first year introduces the basic analysis skills for the main components of language; sounds, grammar, and semantics (word meaning), and basic study and research skills.
