   Introduction - PG Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development
  This course traces the emergence and evolution of the concepts of sustainability and provides the necessary economic, environmental and ecological background in order to identify the principles of sustainable development and, through case studies, show how these principles may be put into practice in both developing and developed world contexts. The course will also examine rural policies and the planning and development process in a variety of international situations.
