      Career Opportunities
Statistics affects everything we do in our lives. It forms the basis for many other subjects and is fascinating in its own right. It also leads on to a variety of fulfilling careers. Most areas of business and industry rely heavily on people with good mathematical knowledge, in research and development, management, as consultants or technicians. The Civil Service, public sector employers are also constantly on the lookout for statistics graduates and there is obviously scope to combine their skills as a mathematician with any other interests. In fact, at some level, nearly every profession will require the services of mathematicians and statisticians.
