Introduction -M. Sc. (Fisheries Planning and Development)
This course examines the role of the fisheries sector in the economy of developing countries and focuses on the practical problems associated with the development and utilization of fisheries resources. Drawing on a wide variety of examples the lessons to be learned from development successes and failures will be examined. The potential for more effective fisheries development planning and implementation in the future will also be reviewed.
