   Introduction - M.Tech (Fibre Optics and Lightwave Engineering)
  A technology that uses light as a digital information carrier. The transmission medium is made up of small stands of glass, each of which provides a path for light rays that carry the data signal. Fibre optic technology offers large bandwidth, very high security and immunity to electrical interference. The programme provides an opportunity to study-to-study Fibre Optics at a very advanced level.
