Actually, Zoology is the science of studying animals - so it's a subset of Biology and its scope is much more diverse than zoos. In fact, it is one of the most exciting areas of study, involving every imaginable kind of animal (including humans), in habitats as diverse as rainforests and oceans. Zoologists study life at the level of the organism, population, community, and/or ecosystem. Ecologists, marine biologists, taxonomists, wildlife and fisheries biologists, and others are examples of zoologists. |
