   Introduction - M. Sc. (Animal Health and Welfare)
  The course seeks to provide veterinarians with advanced training in the (a) principles of biological science, which underpin conservation; (b) veterinary interventions (including social, welfare, ethical and legal aspects); (c) management of captive and free-living animals (including husbandry, breeding and nutrition); (d) epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and control of disease; (e) clinical veterinary techniques for animals (including therapeutics, imaging and restraint); (f) preventative medicine in captive and free-living animals; and (g) research methodology.
