     On successful completion of this subject students will be able to apply a best practice framework for financial decision-making in the areas of capital investment, capital structure, dividend policies, and working capital management. Students will also have an appreciation of the relationship between, and measurement of, risk and return; the types and uses of derivative instruments; and globalization in a financial context. Students will be able to read the financial press with confidence, and in addition will have enhanced a range of generic skills, with special emphasis on analytical skills such as the ability to interpret data and reports, and appreciative skills such as the ability to receive, evaluate and react to new ideas.
