  Polymers are making in roads into every aspect of life—automobiles, building, packaging, domestic appliances, medicine, agriculture, aerospace, information technology, marine, sports, etc. Polymers have moved from the ‘commodity’ material category to ‘engineering’ materials and are candidates for ‘specialty’ materials. The increasing consumption of polymer materials, their unique and multifaceted characteristics and the versatile application range of these materials have created the need for specially trained personnel.
